Privacy policy (Singapore)
Last updated 8 October 2026.
This policy explains how NearbyWise ("we") handles personal data on NearbyWise, in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
Reading the site
You don't need an account to read NearbyWise, and we don't run advertising or analytics trackers. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to run the site and protect it from abuse. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to profile you.
We use two small cookies: one remembers the country you chose, and one remembers that you have seen our cookie notice. See the cookie policy.
When you contact us
If you email us (for example with a correction), we use your name, email address and message to reply and to act on your request, and keep them only as long as needed for that.
Business information
We publish information about businesses, not private individuals: details each business makes public on its own website and on its public Google listing, such as its name, address, phone number, prices and services. A business can ask us to correct or remove its listing at any time (see corrections).
Who we share data with
We don't sell personal data. We use service providers to host the site and store our data, and they process it only on our instructions. Some of them may store data outside Singapore; where they do, we require protection comparable to the PDPA.
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent for its use. We will respond within 30 days.
